Energy Co-op of Vermont Future Plans

Looking Ahead at the Co-op

Here at the Co-op, we've got big plans for the future. In keeping with our mission to provide our members with the best energy choices at fair prices, we hope to provide these additional services in the not-too-distant future.

Wood Pellets

We recently began installing pellet stoves and furnaces and have begun delivering wood pellets. Visit the Pellet Fuels Institute site to read more about the advantages of wood pellets.

BioHeat®

We have delivered small amounts of BioDiesel blends over the past three years and would like to expand this service, once local wholesalers offer BioDiesel at reasonable prices. Go to the National Biodiesel Board web site for lots of information on the advantages of BioHeat®.

Propane

Because gas furnaces are relatively inexpensive to purchase and install, many new homes use propane for space and water heating, and many existing homes also use it for cooking. For these reasons, we hope to add propane to our product line and to offer Co-op membership to households that use it.

New Service Areas

From our office in Northwestern Vermont, we hope to extend our service area south and east in order to offer more Vermonters access to our products and services.
