Is your oil tank in compliance?

The new regulations on oil tanks take effect on August 15th, 2017. Under these regulations, a heating oil tank cannot be filled if it has leaks, drips, pitting, rust, dents, cracks or corrosion - or has a un-sleeved copper fuel line below grade. The tank must also be on a stable foundation, have a working vent alarm and the fill and vent pipes must have a minimum diameter of 1-1/4 inch..

It is our job to make sure that your tank complies with the new regulations - most of which have been in place for some time. If you're concerned about your tank, please give us a call. We will schedule a tank inspection as part of your next oil or kerosene delivery. Please note that we also include tank inspections as part of our annual tune-up.

If you're concerned about the cost of repairing or replacing your oil tank, let us know. We'll come up with a plan that will get the job done and stay within your budget. State grants to cover the tank replacement costs are available for those on a limited income.  Our Co-op Oil Bank may also be able to help.

Prior to our association with Energy Co-op of Vermont we dealt with one of the larger fuel dealers in the area. We were completely at their mercy and they were the source of several unpleasant surprises. We find dealing with the Energy Co-op to be a refreshing change of philosophies. Your purchasing strategies make your products available at a reasonable price in today's market. Your service personnel are friendly informed individuals that communicate with the customer and make suggestions and offer possible solutions to any abnormalities that they encounter. My only problem with the Energy Co-op of Vermont is that they don't sell propane!

Thanks for the great personalized service.
