Church Street Marketplace Burlington VT

In 2015, the City of Burlington became the first city in the U.S. to run completely on renewable energy. It is the most populous city in Vermont and is the county seat of Chittenden County. Burlington sits on the eastern shore of Lake Champlain with a scenic view of the Adirondack Mountains to the west and the Green Mountains of Vermont to the east. A regional college town, Burlington is home to the University of Vermont (UVM) and Champlain College. Vermont's largest hospital, the UVM Medical Center, is located within the municipal limits.

We currently deliver heating fuels and provide heating services in all parts of Burlington, including:

  • New North End
  • Old North End
  • Downtown
  • The Hill Section
  • South End

While many Burlington homes are now heating with natural gas, the Energy Co–op of Vermont provides oil delivery and heating services to many loyal members in the Queen City. We also provide services for natural gas conversions and oil tank removals.

In addition to delivering heating oil and wood pellets, the Energy Co–op installs and services high efficiency home heating systems and cold-climate heat pumps. The Co-op also offers low-cost energy audits and home energy upgrades for Burlington residents.

Beyond our fuel delivery services, Burlington area members of the Energy Co–op of Vermont enjoy the following benefits:
