Washington County, VT Wood Pellets

Given the volatility in oil prices, it’s nice to have wood pellet stoves available as a home heating alternative. While most Washington County, VT homeowners still heat their homes with oil, an increasing number have switched over to wood pellets as a renewable, low–carbon alternative. We can help you make the switch and then supply you with all of the wood pellets you’ll ever need to heat your home. Whether you prefer to pick up your own pellets or have them delivered, the Energy Co–op of Vermont has you covered.

For years our old boiler was noisy and it was turning off and on far too often. I think it might have been held together by duct tape, at least it looked that way. We just had the Vermont Energy Co-op (Richie and Joe) install a Buderus boiler and we are thankful we finally did replace the old boiler. The installation process was very smooth and the new boiler is much more energy efficient, quieter and, as one expect, it doesn't leak water like our old one.
