The Energy Co-op of Vermont began accepting members in July 2001. Today, we serve over 2,500 of your neighbors in northwest and central Vermont. As a not-for-profit Cooperative, we are owned by our members. So when you join the Co-op and purchase products and services from us, you’re not just a customer, you’re an owner!
Our tag line is “Use Less, Save More”. Our goal is to help our members reduce their energy costs by using less fossil fuel and help them transition to renewable fuels where it makes sense. This is an odd goal for a company that delivers heating oil and kerosene. This is what makes us a “different kind of energy company”.

Our Business
We deliver heating oil, kerosene and local Vermont wood pellets. We provide our members and customers with heating system installations, maintenance, and repairs. We install super-efficient, cold-climate heat pumps and heat pump water heaters and offer low-cost energy audits and complete home energy upgrades.
