Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility
The Energy Co-op is proud to be a member of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR), a non-profit, statewide business trade organization with a mission to advance business ethics that value multiple bottom lines- economic, social, and environmental.
Local First Vermont
Local First is an initiative of Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility whose mission is to preserve and enhance the economic, human, and natural vitality of Vermont communities by promoting the importance of purchasing from locally owned independent businesses.
Renewable Energy Vermont
The Energy Co-op is a member of Renewable Energy Vermont, an organization that represents businesses, non-profits, and utilities committed to reducing reliance on dirty fossil fuels by increasing clean renewable energy and energy efficiency in Vermont.
Vermont Fuel Dealers Association
The Energy Co-op is a member of the Vermont Fuel Dealers Association (VFDA), a non-profit trade organization that works for companies that sell heating oil, BioHeat®, diesel, biodiesel, kerosene, wood pellets, and propane.
Efficiency Excellence Network
As a member of the Efficiency Excellence Network (EEN), the Energy Co-op is among the Vermont contractors approved for projects financed through the Heat Saver Loan, a state-backed initiative that drives hundreds of upgrades every year.
Center for Technology, Essex
The Energy Co-op is proud to partner with the Center for Technology in Essex as an Employment Partner for their HVAC Technician Training Program. This program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes required of service technicans in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration industry.
Through this program students have ample opportunity to fully acquaint themselves with the tools and equipment used in the field and apply those skills in the laboratory and in the field with local HVAC employment partners.

Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor
As a Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Contractor, the Energy Co-op's installation technicians and service manager have been factory trained in the Mitsubishi M-Series heat pump products. This also means we are able to offer a 12 year warranty on parts and a 12-year limited warranty on compressors.
